Looking to get some hoof boots for my barefoot welsh cob, like the Marquis boots but does anyone have, they are more expensive than other makes so wondered if had anyone had and there thought, many thanks

I tried the Marquis boots and didn't like them - they seemed to increase breakover too much and they were very bulky. Now have Boas and Old Macs for my various beasts and I'm very happy with them.

I've got Marquis and use them with no problems as do a couple of other people I know.

I've had them for a couple of years. I have them for my semi-retired mare and they're good for her - occasional hacks, but TBH I wouldn't want to use them everyday.
Pluses - good fit, very sturdy boot, she felt immediately more foot sure, happy trotting downhill and on slippery surfaces, you can replace parts if they wear/break rather than needing a whole new boot.
Minuses - she bursts the air sacks quite regularly when fidgeting/playing up (overreaching), they do come off although rarely, the soles wear quite quickly with roadwork, price (obviously).

Although I'm happy with them, when it comes to replacing them altogether I will probably try a cheaper alternative. Not sure they're worth double the price.

Hope this helps
