My riding club had a visit to Mary King's yard this afternoon. She is a very nice lady - very natural and friendly. Her horses were lovely and relaxed and all spend time in the field every day. She gave us a ridden display on Imperial Cavalier - a very impressive horse. She didn't want any payment - just a donation to Devon Air Ambulance. So, thank you Mary and fingers crossed for the Olympics!

She really is inspirational. It's an important lesson that she can produce world class horses in very average facilities - 3 acres, wooden stables etc - yet still manages to beat the likes of WFP with his multi million pound purpose built yard with spas, gallops etc.

bet you had a great day, she really is a lovely lady. i worked for her a while back during my summer holidays and learnt so much. mainly about her relaxed approach to training the horses. her yard is so laid back and the horses are so chilled.

and it shows in her results
