massage mitt not working battery problem?

I have an equilibrium massage mitt. I have had it two years now and have not used it much. However pony is now on box rest and I thought ah I know what he would like, a massage with the mitt.

Got the mitt out and it did not work so thought battery needed charging but I don't seem to be able to charge the battery the light never goes green. So i am thinking there is something wrong with the battery? Has anyone ever had any problems with massage mitts not working?

I don't have a mitt, but the Equilibrium back pad, and that stopped charging at around 2 years. The company were totally unhelpful so I hunted down a new battery and a new charger via the internet. Thankfully it turned out to be the battery so an easy fix, and the charger has been kept as a spare. The chargers are about £13 for both the mitt and the back pad, and the batteries are about £30. Do you know anyone else with a mitt who would lend you their battery or charger so you can see if that's the problem maybe?
