My horse has been lame and vet has confirmed muscle fibrosis resulting from kicks to her hind leg. she now needs to get fit and build up muscle to help her support herself. she has osteo treatment, but I wondered if there was something that would help keep/get her loose in the muscles in her rump between treatments and on a daily basis. the looser her muscles are the more likely that she'll work evenly and develop even muscle. I've thought about getting a hand held device from argos, but also wondered whether it was worth investing in something like equissage or the equilibrium massage pad (she's only 10 and I'm guessing this will be a long term problem)- although I need something to treat/massage her hamstrings/ semi-tendonosus (sp?).
Any ideas?
