Hello, it's been a while since I last posted!
my now 6 year old ex racer has unfortunately been out of work most the summer due to my personal circumstances, however before she went out of work we were having issues generally all round - nothing major but little niggles when schooling and hacking out alone that made me and celine lose confidence.
so these last couple of weeks I finally got my butt into gear and have started riding her properly again. We have both come back so much better for it and she has been going brilliantly. This evening we did a full hack alone with not a single issue and we even had a couple of lovely collected canters on the freshly cut stubble fields. We came back to do a mini schooling session and she was complete perfection, the most beautiful long and low consistent outline which I have been really working for with her. And then to top it off, we even popped a little jump for the first time ever! I couldn't be happier!
She has also now been barefoot for a few months and is doing really well, the new growth is about one third down now, I can't wait for the new hoof capsule to completely grow down. She had also been looking a bit lack lustre condition wise whilst out of work so I'm happy that I now think she is improving there too with work despite the grass belly!

Photo evidence of jump! (Ignore make shift jump!)
