Going to look at a horse next week - seems to tick most of the boxes. He is by Master Imp - foaled 2010 so obviously on of the last to be by him. Does anyone have any experience/opinions on his offspring. Have heard they can be a bit of a handful although this one is being advertised as very quiet and polite

i worked with a few a while back when I worked on a big yard that did show horses and hunters. We had a few by him! I’d love one by him! Talented, brave, a little quirky but just the most fabulous!

We had one out of a Master Imp mare, by Cruising. He went against the expected grain by being the most backwards thinking, ungenerous, idle horse I think I've ever sat on. Talented and beautiful and very good at grazing.
I've never met a Master Imp horse before or since that wasn't however just as all the other posters have described!

Oh god def go see! Ours is quirky in some ways but he is the most adorable big horse & so trustworthy - he just likes to look at things. Absolutely stacks of character and fun to be around but easy to handle. He’s 17hh and solid, but honestly I’d pop a competent novice on him because he’s so kind and generous.

I really don't know - my definition of quirky is usually bucking and whipping round and taking off for home

Heavens! That would have me off in an instant! Rearing, spooking, tanking off, no problem. Bucking - nooo!
Why don't you go and see him, preferably with an instructor, unless he is a long way away? Nothing ventured, as noted above . . .

I have a Master Imp granddaughter. She is by Jackaroo and out of a Cavalier Royale mare. I bought her as a 5 year old and nearly didn’t go and see her as I thought she would be super sharp and more of a professionals ride with her breeding.

However, she is a delight! Super generous, brave, kind and such a genuine horse. Oh and she is a chestnut mare!!!
