Does anyone have either of the above cordless clippers?
Any reviews good or bad and info on how long batteries last , type of clip appreciated.
thanks in advance

I have the masterclip royales and just do a bib and belly clip but I do have a NF who resembles a mammouth and they are not designed for thick coats. I don't think you could do a full clip on anything with thick fur.

I actually ended up plugging mine into the mains as although they are cordless you can also plug them into the mains. Much more powerful when plugged into the mains. They are very quiet and light and easy to use though.

In all practicality, these things are horse 'trimmers', they are glorified dog clippers and if you buy these with the intention to clip a horse you may find yourself having to be very patient, oiling the blades all the time, swapping blades and letting everything cool down.

That said, for what they are they are good, they use all the same parts as a liveryman harmony cordless clipper but are assembled slightly differently in a slightly different case. They are as above, very light and quiet. They are also reliable. As they are assembled slightly differently to the liveryman harmony they do not have the most common fault the liveryman harmony has, that being a loosely fitting PCB that shorts out against the switch unless insulated (which they are not when they leave the factory).
They are good value for what they are but I would be reserved in calling them 'horse clippers'.
