Thanks for all your lovely comments despite the quality of pictures. Mat got a huge canter out of Vision yesterday, which was why I was soooooo mad at myself for not getting better video or pictures of it

. I was too busy trying to faff around with my camera settings when I should just have given up and done the videoing.

The canter at the end was pretty spectacular, as they were only doing about 4 strides of canter down the longside it was so big...

Mat has really improved on the walk as well from the last time I seen it, and I know thats not an easy thing to do. It just leaves him to perfect the trot now....

BTW Mat, it seems that in amongst all my faffing around I missed out on you trying some canter pirouettes

, or that was what my OH said you were doing when I had my back to you...

*THUD* OMG!! WHY am I looking at Chico's Boy, when this awesome young stallion is dying to be B's next beau?

I think I've said this before, but he reminds me so very much of Sportsnight (B's sire), which from me is possibly the highest compliment I can give a horse, as Sporty was practically perfect in my eyes!

Whaddy think?

SN - there are quite a few similarities that is for sure...

Volatis, I know its amazing how the time flies!! Have posted a piccie of Vision when he arrived off the transporters as a foal, this was back in 2002. He had a very long journey due to the French striking, and arrived very thin and all snot nosed. Many people who then seen him when he arrived thought we had lost our marbles buying him...but I told them to wait and see!!

Now look at him..

BEFORE - When he arrived with us from Holland

I have to say this is the great things about photos, you can see the progress of one horse through his/her life...

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, and also for my lost twin for giving you the link to his pedigree.

Its Flemmigh x Ferro x Triton, and he comes from a very good motherline.

BTW...........LLT2 I just burst out laughing at your new location.........ABSOLUTELY CLASSIC!! ROFL

Hmmm Sorry if that offended you C. Vision is well named! He just makes me tingly - not sure if I should have admitted that or not......

Very handsome!!!! Most of all I love the kind, geniune expression he has. A horse that really tries for you and works with you is such a pleasure and he really looks that type.

Thanks Hollycat, he is very trainable and clever, but like all stallions he does have moments...

grin.gif
I have to say when we were doing natural with him, you would not get a more laid back and loving boy...his fetish was standing and licking the mares...was never in a rush...more a "wine and dine" them kinda guy.........LOL

This year its mainly going to be frozen semen for him and some chilled (depending on his training & competition). Dont think his views on the dummy are quite the same as the real thing though..
grin.gif

Vision is definitely one of the most gorgeous stallions I have seen - really superb!

Re the dummy - I'm sure he'll soon get more enthusiastic - remind him that dummies don't ever kick!

My boy apparently caught sight of his own dummy mare the other day while being led out, and got very excited - he had to be told that the season hasn't started yet!

Thanks Htobago, such lovely comments...

I laughed when we first did semen collection from Geneve. He was used to natural covering and when he seen the dummy he had a look on his face as if to say "you think i am going on THAT!".....it was really funny, and when he first did the "business" on it, he then had a look of "OMG cannot BELIEVE I just did that!" ha ha ha...it was very funny.

Great memories...
