Frodo Beutlin has been visiting for a few days and she came and did a photo shoot of my dressage horse Oskar. Bless her, she also brought me a gorgeous pair of new Pikeur breeches - love the colour - and a new girth for the very sensitive skinned Oskar.

I did a brief session in the school; had a bit of a sore tummy so didn't really pick him up much, but he stayed nice and soft and showed himself off. Then we took up out to the fields and showed that a dressage horse can also have fun! Jumped some logs and baby xc fences, all dolled up in double bridle, bandages and dressage saddle LOL! Bless him, he loves to jump, doesn't get to do it much, but look at his happy face! :D:D

I know he's a bit long in the frame in the ridden pictures but he was only really in warm up mode and I didn't ask for collection much. Also, he is slightly porky as living out at the moment and the grass is really coming through.
Showing off his rather nice walk:

Bless him, looks like he enjoyed his jumping session.

Big believer in letting them have a little go and different things from time to time. keeps them fresh and usually improves there work in some way.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh he looks FAB!!!!!! Although i reckon Bloss might be slimer than him at the moment!!!!!! ;) :p :D :D

Which jods and girth did you get?

I know, he's so fat I can hardly get my leg on him!

Jods are Pikeur Lagunas in the new colour, they are sort of slate/bluish with the darker seat, and the girth is a fantastic shaped, padded one from Loesdau. :)

He is beautiful! :D Love the grey/blue, very smart looking! :D

He looks to really enjoy the jumping! :D Although I could argue that you are, in fact, going cross country :D

Lovely pics! Glad to see he's behaving - must be all the new gear ;)

You're not the only one whose horse is looking a wee bit porky at the mo

lovely pictures - looks very smart )

Do you mind me asking what hat that is you are wearing - is it a GPA in grey? I was looking at them today and can't decide on whether or not to buy!

I love Mr Osk! He is looking very well, I'm trying to arrange for him to come and live with us :)
Your breeches are lush but your legs are too slim, and too long! Can I interest you in some of my lard?
Hope your ok?

Forgot to say thanks all! Especially to FB for taking the photos, and to worried for making me feel better about my chunky thighs!!!! Lol.
Osk did a lunge lesson today and gave a very happy rider, a lady I teach, her first proper walk/canter/walk transition. Bless him, he's a star.
