Anyone use these? do they heat up in use ? any problems ?

Thinking of replacing my liveryman arena as they are doing my head in

Masterclip is not a company, it is a brand created by 'outlandish products ltd'. ALL of their stuff is imported. As with all cheap and cheerful chinese clippers, they are often strikingly similar to reputable brands. The 'ranger' clippers (or more accurately, chinese copies of heinger handy clippers, readily available to import on alibaba.com - of which I have no proof 'ranger's are one of) I will be diplomatic and say that this may not be the source of masterclip clippers and I can only refer to the ones in the link (including those with different names) - often a firm will buy x amount and have their branding put on it.
I think I must say here, I have no problem with masterclip clippers but I do have a problem with people thinking that they can buy a copy of a £300 clipper for £100 without drawbacks.
They do not have the manufacturing precision of the real deal. The crankshaft often wobbles inside the sleeve from new - inefficient at best, at worst rattles like crazy and overheats.
There is a hole in the crankshaft sleeve that is supposed to line up with a hole in the head, so the crankshaft can be oiled...often these do not line up meaning the crankshaft cannot be lubricated and gets hot, excess friction and stress on an already cheap and cheerful motor...game over. I see it all the time.
I don't know where the armatures come from in these things but it is neither switzerland or germany, which heineger armatures come from one of them. You hardly ever see a heineger handy that needs a new armature where as this thing often does.
The gear in the head comes apart (it has a brass center and some kind of hard plastic outer) - this NEVER happens with heineger parts.
If that hasn't put you off then please consider that you get what you pay for. If you cannot afford a reputable brand then fine, but you cannot expect these things to be as good and reliable as reputable brands.
Again, quick to point out, I have no problem with Masterclip clippers, they are cheap enough but I do like to add a bit of symmetry where information asymmetry exists.

I spoke to clippersharp yesterday who gave me some helpful advice on how I'm tenioning my blades, going to give that a try before buying new set
