they aren't supposed to be for maternity, but i when its that time of the month i bloat quite alot, so i bought some really cheap harry hall ones, and they're great. the waist band is extremely elasticated, and probably the most comfortable pair i have

If you don't absolutly have to wear jods how about stretch trousers for larger ladies? The legs are generally quite thin but the whole trouser if very stretchy so you won't end up with the tent for trousers look

I had some that fastened at the side. Do they still make those? But got an elastic band over it fastening and it worked fine. Infact still riding and competing until 6 weeks before my daughter was born. Still came out the side door - (had a section!!!).
