Mats that protect paint on side of lorry?

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to buy a mat that goes on the side of the lorry to protect the paint from haynets and naughty horse's teeth!!

I don't even know what they are called to google them....

I have never heard of these, I suppose you can get a rubber rub rail but never heard of mats. We used equimat wall mats on the inside of our wagon.

I have seen them at events on the outside where you tie the horses up? But i don't know what they'd be called!

They are an extra you can buy from Oakley (and probably others). The fastenings for them need to be attached to your lorry so I guess it's not that trivial a job to keep it looking decent.

Most of the big horsebox builders do these - pick up a copy of H&H (or it may even be online?), look for the horsebox adverts at the back and give a few a call. If you go to the big boys Lehal, Oakley etc you might have to pay many ££££'s however, I'm sure a local horsebox converter type person will know how to get them and be a lot cheaper - they'd also be able to attach the fittings if you needed it.

we have one of those! JM horseboxes did our box and provided the mat and fitted the fittings, they were reasonably priced
