No it was Matt she was talking about as she mentioned him by name and said that he had come out personally in his van to fit her saddles. A couple of other posters piped up with some bologne too, but the thread didn't last that long before someone must have spied it and had it removed.

I guessed she was more than likely a troll and wasn't surprised to see the thread deleted shortly afterwards.

I agree with Matt; as a business owner myself, I would also be quick to take legal action against someone for making unfounded and defamatory comments about my business, if I found such things on a forum.

Indeed, but there is an element of living by the sword and dying by the sword in all this, and I imagine the unhappy saddle fitting troll would never have posted if Matt hadn't used the forum to protect his business interests only a few days before
 
It was very clear that the newbie, who made his/her first two posts to slag off Matty was definately talking about him. It seems their only aim was to defame Heritage Saddlery, as owned by Matty.
 
Well I would like to add that I have bought a few bridles and my friend a saddle off you and we have had excellent service and I would always recommend you!!

Dont want to repeat myself too often but i have had 14 years of dealing with Matty and he has always done a great job IMHO. As a former small (horsey)business owner, i know how hard it is to please everyone especially in the horse world. His work speaks for itself and he made my saddle which has been much admired in the show ring.
