I bought my boy June last year, he will be 2 in may and Is currently standing bang on 14hh. He was advertised to make 15hh, I am currently in a total flap over his height. He is a traditional gypsy cob. I know he’s got loads of filling out to but will he grow much more in height? E5B27B60-8E22-41CC-8D10-5CC7D6516B05.jpeg

Yeah this is what am thinking! However loosing some of his winter Woolleys now he is looking abit more leggy the now. Am 5’4 and 10.5 stone so am sure he would still do me if he fills out plenty. That was taken just Thursday there so still slightly uneven.

I bought my Gypsy boy when he was 18 months old and 13hh. He's now 11 and a smidge under 15hh. He carried on growing until he was 8/9 sometimes going bum high and sometimes not.

He had year where all he did was get wider and grow into his frame then he shot up another inch. It was really interesting to watch as I'd never owned a youngster before. He definitely had periods of looking like a cut and shut but now I rarely go out without someone stopping to me how lovely he is!

I'm 5'6" and weigh 10.5 stones and he barely notices I'm on him.
Try the string test it was fairly accurate for us, but most of all enjoy him he is absolutely gorgeous!

I would say you have a good chance of making height. My husband’s cob cross was 14.1hh at 3yo and is now 15hh behind and 14.3hh in front at nearly 6yo! Still growing...

Eta: I am your height and my current ride is 13hh (was supposed to be my son’s pony but had other ideas) so you will definitely fit!

He keeps changing so much so quickly, he went like a wee fat fluff ball over the winter now he’s really slimming down and looking leggy again but his height hasn’t moved much. He’s an absolute gem of a boy. Couldn’t ask for a better natured pony?
