Totally agree with you Thistle. I remember that the lady who brought us our darling girl from Labrador Rescue said the hardest part of her job wasn't dealing with cases where dogs had been badly or cruelly treated, it was taking dogs from homes where they were well cared for, wanted and happy but where a change in circumstances meant that the owners simply couldn't keep them. She said that listening to the owners saying goodbye to the dog before she took it was heartbreaking!

That is so true. We often rehome labs and on one occassion it was totally heartbreaking when we went to see and collect our girl. Her owners had no option but to rehome her but they were distraught and I cried all the way home with her on my lap . Very brave and caring owners in my opinion.

It is SUCH a brave thing to do but one that any true animal lover would know they had to do. How devastating though - I take my hat off to all of you who are involved in the rescue business and have to see this sort of thing all the time, I really do.

How exciting for you. Hope all goes well (as I'm sure it will). He sounds gorgeous.
My new Dog, Skye, came from a home where the owner couldn't keep her anymore and I often think of him and wonder how he is without her. It must be absolutely heart wrenching to have to make that decision.
