Max does it again.......

he caught another hare!!

As I suspected last time it was luck rather then judgement

We were walking along the track in the field - I turned for home and looked back to check on where the dogs were - heading towards me 'haring' along was a hare with Max in hot pursuit (but losing ground) then the hare saw me and instead of hurtling past did a U turn and ran straight into Max!!

Its end was swift

But I have one ridiculous;y chuffed Labrador

Ooooooops, dopey hare!! My dogs would like to know if they can come get some hunting tips off Max please - they've yet to catch anything that wasn't already dead beforehand!

I hope you don't get any righteous indignation type replies this time.

I believe the phrase 'a dog with two tails' would be an accurate description!

His hunting techniques is basically exhurberance and excitment over skill with tenacity thrown in!! Sometimes he gets lucky

That dog is a hare magnet. He is really going to feel that it is that easy.

Darcy caught a rabbit(a big one) the other day I shouted give and she dropped it much to my surprise. I thought she must have found it but it was still hot and it didnt have mixxy.

He polished off the whole thing on the walk back - it took less than 10 mins for it to disappear

Still he did very kindly regurgitate a bit in the garden for Sweep to finish off.......

Saves me feeding him....
