Evening,

Does anyone have any experience with using this supplement? If so would you recommend it?

I have seen quite a few posts of social media about this having miraculous results, but not totally sure what the ingredients are that cause the results. I haven't seen one post to say that it hasn't improved their horse, which maybe seems odd?

Would love to hear any reviews

Following with interest. It seems very expensive but only good reviews.

I can't recall the ingredients but I think alfa and yeasacc featured. So like you OP I wasn't sure where the "magic" was coming from.

I had a horse who was thin and had foul smelling loose poos. Anxious, stressy type.

I tried protexin (swear by it for my lab) in all its forms. Pink mash. Pink powder. None made a difference. The gut health sorted him out. I tried taking him off it a couple of times for a week and he went back to how he was. I took on an older horse who was also very loose and a poor doer. He too thrived on it.

Don't know the science but it worked for them.

I don't have either of them now but have a new mare and have started her on it as she has had a lot of changes in the last month or so. She is a bit girthy and her skin needs support so not the same very visible benefit but I think it's worth a try on my previous experience.

I have this on repeat order for my horse. I've found if he's having hindgut issues he tends to turn rather feral and act like I'm trying to kill him. Max Gut seems to improve his condition and calm his nerves which i put down to the healthy hind gut, so although I wouldnt swear by it (I do a few things at the same time so cant pinpoint one thing) I would recommend it for sure.

Max Gut Health has made an amazing difference in some cases but not all (an event rider local to me tried it on several of her horses). It made a difference to my horse too. Bear in mind this is for hind gut imbalance so the equivalent Protexin product is 'Gut Sponge' (its fairly new) and not their Gut Balancer
