Don't know about the work side, but when I had a brief look at racing jobs the weight limit was generally around 10st, unfortunatly somewhat lighter than me :S

definitley higher max. weight for NH, i think it is 12 stone for NH, lighter for flat...
my cousin worked at a NH yard, shes 70kg, but was pretty top end in comparison to the others...

ohhh dear ther is no hope thanks tho guys .....there were some pretty heavy men at pipes wen i woked there oh well cheers xx

yep def un der 10 stone for flat although I saw my Dads horse being worked on the gallops the other week and another string came past with one guy who looked VERY heavy, so maybe significantly more for NH

you could ask at yards for yard work, tack etc til you drop the baby weight!there is always a place somewhere for someone who is a good worker on the ground (tiding around when lots go out, making feeds, straightening beds, tack and turnout, clipping and trimming, vet care, lungeing, long reining, etc!)! (as long as you are reliable and have good childcare arrangements!) Good luck!

Max a horse carries in a race is 12st so I guess this is the limit a trainer will put up on their horses. In my experience most yards have a "hack" that they use to lead the youngsters etc maybe you could get back in the swing by riding out on that.
