Hi, can anyone advise roughly the max weight a New Forest pony can carry, she is 14hh and is quite chunky in build?

I am thinking of buying her with a view to my friend riding her a couple of time a week but she weighs 10 stone, is she too heavy?

Thanks

Good lord no, she's waaaay within that pony's limit. My boy is a chunky 14hh and I bought him weighing 10 and a half stone, he has leather tack (so heavier than a wintec) ive put on a bit of weight since then and he still bombs around perfectly happily :)

Definately not too heavy. I have a full up 14.2 NF, at my heaviest (more than 12stone) he's carried me fine. Pics will be required and more info should you buy her!
