Just starting to panic slightly. We have ordered a new lorry as my old one died completely. My dad is lending me the money to make up the difference and his only stipulation was that the new lorry mustn't be any larger than the last one. Now I know it isn't any longer as that one was put into the contract, but Dad had always said my old lorry was maximum width and said that the lorry was 8' 3" so I merrily thought that there was no chance that anyone would try to build anything larger. However one of the lads in the pub last night said that the max width is 8' 7". The builders are building to the max width and if that is 8' 7" it will be a nightmare as those extra inches will be a problem for getting into the space it needs to park in. Its too late to change the build so can anyone tell me what the actual max width is please?

Thank you

Thank you pathelchoice, I was wondering if I had made a major blonde oversight and was going to have to move my parents garage to get the lorry on the drive! I shall take my tape measure with me tomorrow when I go to make the next payment and have a sneaky check that it is 8' 2" max (my dad obviously wasn't wearing his glases when he measured our old one so will think this one is narrower!)

Is that your lorry in your siggy, its beautiful? Yours looks like the Merc of the lorry world where mine will be more of the "white van", functional with no added extras. But it means I can get the boys out and about again so I'm very excited.
