Pony is 8yo, 14.1hh Connemara gelding ridden approx 5 days a week.
Would a feed consisting of Dengie Alfa A, Speedibeet and NAF Pink Powder be suitable? I'm looking for something that will provide him with all round vit/mins but also provide him with energy and be high fibre.
Going to feed shop tomorrow so all opinions/advice appreciated :)

A Connie should easily be able to get all the vits & Mins he needs from hay/grass, but what you are thinking of sounds good. I'd only feed Pink Powder occasionally as a pick-me-up, though. I'd suggest a Himalayan salt lick? Sounds like you're already keeping sugars to a minimum which is great, and watch his weight!

If you have a good source of hay/hayledge, the pony is in sensible conditon, it would be a good starting point. If you needed more energy you could go for alfa-a oil.

Thank you. At the mo he is out 24/7 (on winter hols thanks to the snow!) with ad lib hay but end of Jan/beginning of Feb he will come in at nights and I'll start building up his work to 5 days a week again.

I do have a Himalayan salt lick for him so that's a bonus! Funnily enough for a native, his weight's never been a problem *touch wood* but I will be sure to keep an eye on him. Thanks for the advice

I would give a native pony Hi fi lite rather than Alpha a as alfa a is richer, also you may not need the speedibeet if the pony is in good condition .

I would stay on the hi fi and maybe feed high fibre nuts with the speedi beet. Thats what my pony cross gets and is looking very well.
