May seem like an odd question but...

This may seem like an odd question but I'll ask it anyway! ? Do you think anyone would let me just spend time around horses, just looking at them and stroking them for free? ? I'm in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
I'm 55 years old and I haven't ridden or been around horses for a few years, I unfortunately have Long Covid after getting Covid in March 2020 so physical activity of any kind exhausts me, I desperately want to be around horses again but am not physically able to ride or even volunteer at a stables (mucking out, grooming etc would be too much for me) but just to spend time around them and that feeling that you get just being around them would do my heart and soul so much good and make me feel like "me" again ??

If you were near me I would be happy for you to spend time with mine. Before I moved him this year I actually advertised for a non riding, no work, no money share. I don't need that now, but he loves attention.

The RDA group that I volunteer with has a blind participant who doesn't want to ride but does like to spend time with the horses. I'm pretty sure that Long Covid would qualify you to join a group. We only operate in summer though. Where are you?

Yes! I often feel guilty that I don’t have much time to just be with my horses. I have some that are retired and get little attention. I’d love it if someone wanted to come and just fuss over them.

I would definitely love someone to hangout with my girls. And maybe take a brush through their manes. And while there you could always stroke them with a brush. ? grooming is not my favourite

Interesting you said that, I used to ride there but there were things I wasn't too happy about ?
Congleton is a bit too far at the moment, I get tired driving as well so can't drive very far ?
