This is one of only 3 pictures I have of McGinty. I bought him from Graham Scott at Oldfold Farm, Aberdeen, when he came in as a dealer back in 2000. He was approx 15.2hh, very thin and could jump anything you pointed him at, albeit at a flat out gallop!
I only had him 5 months before he collapsed in the field on Hogmanay and had to be PTS.
I was just clearing out some folders and found this photo and I've been sitting in tears thinking about him and wishing he was still here.
So I guess this post is really just to ask - does anyone remember him? Maybe you tried him out before I got him? Maybe you owned him before Graham did? Maybe you bred him?
Not really sure where he came from before Graham had him. He got a lot of his horses from Ireland, and with a name like McGinty it seems possible that's where he was from, but I could be wrong.
Hope someone can shed a little more light on it as I really didn't know anything about my poor boy before he died
