Hi... Does anyone know of any McTimoney practitioners who cover north-east England?
Also can people tell me about any good/bad experiences?

My Mare had treatment for kissing spine (although the spinal processes weren't actually touching) and recovered from ligament injury couple of months back. She still feels crooked and gets a bit arsey when I ask her to straighten up. Have had feet and saddle checked. Also had physio out on regular basis.

Sorry can't recommend any in North East.
Try http://www.mctimoney-animal.org.uk/ for ideas.

I have a McTimoney chiropractor for my lad, the results even after the first treatment were unbelievable. Beyond anything I had hoped for. He has various pelivc issues. Also really enjoys the attention, worth every penny.

I would phone around and find one which has experience of kissing spine, or ask your vet for a recommendation.

I have always rated McTimoney (apart from the one lady who came out from the practice I have always used for years and told me my horse didn't have wobblers when he was in the latter stages and quite ataxic). I have found them to be useful in my current and previous horses cases and have always consulted a McTimoney in the first instance, and maybe backed this up with a physio afterwards. Its like the chicken and the egg to me though, what do you use first, a chiro or a physio? All the physios I've ever met have always wanted to come back on a weekly basis for weeks on end, whereas the Mc Timoney comes out once and its a case of job done for anther twelve months. My best mate is a newly qualified physio and she gave my horse a treatment on Wednesday but I wouldn't otherwise use them. (Sorry mate) However, that's just IMHO and I am probably wrong and she may well be cross with me now!!!
