Since I had to come back to Dundee and leave her and the other horses again I put a little video together of our riding the other day.

CC welcome if it isn't too mean ;)

For those who don't know her story, she was very naughty when we first got her and refused to even leave the yard for a hack. It took 2 hours the first day to get her to go round a track that should take 20 mins!
She still won't go anywhere without company (that's why Flair is in the jumping paddock with her :p) and why she kept running to the gate in the field.

As you can see she can still be a cheeky pony and try to get her own way, but she will now happily hack out in company and even likes to lead the hack. She's come a long way in 5 weeks but as much as I will miss her, I hope Mossburn can find her a rider or a new home so our hard work isn't undone!
I'm very proud of her getting to a point where she is able to go to a new home in just 5 weeks, there were definitely times at the start I didn't think we'd manage it!

Enough waffling, enjoy :)

Pretty pony, is she Welshie?

Could she be in foal? She seems to be rather large in the stomach department and it doesn't look like a grass belly to me, the way she is moving makes me think she could possibly be.

Also it might just be me, but she looks a little uneven behind.

Funny vid:D When you ask for halt, lean back a little more from the waist;) Not that I know anything, the issues I've been having lately:rolleyes:

Have to agree dont think shes sound behind as she doesnt look comfortable at all. Also when your jumping remember to go straight after your fence as she seems to be learning to jump and immediatly turn left

im in dundee too:) where do you stable her? She's cute, how old is she? Looks like a cheeky pony i used to ride about maybe 5 years ago...? Same name! X

You already know what I think :) But thought i'd show my support on here aswell as I know how very hard you have worked with Megan :) :)

Sorry, I went out for my tea and just back now!

Ok bit more background, we're a rescue centre so not 100% on her history.
But she's not in foal, she's just a little round, she was out of work for a while and hopefully the belly will go soon!
She just knows exactly how she's been let to get away with what she wants in the past and now she's been learning that it doesn't necessarily get her what she wants!

Don't apologise Changes, she makes me laugh too :D

TeamBarney, she's a Welsh x New Forrest :)

TSZ, she's not in Dundee, she's in Dumfries but I only volunteer now when I'm back home on uni holidays. Not exactly sure on age, late teens though.

r.e her soundness, I think it might be that the ground is quite uneven, but I am no expert and will email now and say to trot her up tomorrow on even ground to make sure. Flair is on box rest so the vet will be up soon and can take a quick look if needs be.

Thanks for cc, the going left after jumps was mainly because the cameraman was stood in front of the gate and with Flair. I doubt I'll get to jump her again to work on anything though. She will hopefully be rehomed soon!

Thanks Sarah and MM :D
