I regularly post on this forum, but rarely put up photos. Some of you guys have the most gorgeous horses and are fab riders.. but i'm biting the bullet and being brave.

I'm currently trying to get my horse fitter for the summer as we've had a few probs over the winter with back, weight, feet etc. Please be gentle.. i have owned my horse for 6months and this was the first time i'd jumped him since buying him.

Here goes...

Pics are working and what a lovely honest sort he looks!

It's very difficult to tell from a pic. rather than a video, but could I suggest that rather than standing up out of the saddle as you jump, you fold your body forward, keeping your bum just out of the saddle, but in the same place. Let your hands go with the movement of his head and you shouldn't lose your balance.

If you have access to a good sympathetic trainer I am sure a couple of lessons will iron out any problems and give your confiidence a boost.

Love the pink boots!

Ah thanks, have booked at lesson for this thurs! He's so honest but a little green in the school (i purchased him as a quiet hack, which he is). Ha ha these boots actually belonged to my old horse (my husband gets upset if i put them on him, apparently boys cant do pink!)
