Measuring a saddle?

I want to sell on of my old saddles that i no longer have a use for, but im not really sure what size it is? How do i measure it to find out its size?

To get the seat length measure from the front billet on the pommel to the centre of the back of the cantle.

Some saddles have their size stamped on the inside saddle flap or stirrup bar.

you measure from the saddle nail on the skirt back to the centre of the cantle, this is the CORRECT way to measure a saddle

Billet in saddlery terms is referring to a piece/length of leather and is often used to refer to girthstraps.

Both points, correct!! A "billet" all so often also refers to a bend in leather, with a point, as in rein ends.
