I thought this would be easy to do.

I want to measure the angle of a metal Thorowgood Gullet, so armed with protractor and gullet in front of me - I know exactly the degree the gullet should measure - but I have no idea where or how to measure it.

Can anyone help me pretty please?

Place the gullet on a piece of paper and use a ruler to extend the line that each arm makes until they cross at a point, then you can place the protractor onto the point and measure the angle. Have to ask why you're doing it :)? British tree widths are all within a standard range (I know that saddlefitter.blogspot posted about them at some stage) so that would include TG headplates, but so much else affects how they fit including how U or V shaped they are at the top, TG are very V shaped so the opposite of a hoop tree.
