Im thinking of possibly registering tommy in fact Im nearly 100% I will, providing everything goes to plan, We took him last weekend to a show and he won the open in a very fast time , he seemed to love every minute of it , it was quite a big track for him but he made it look so easy and as a few of you know he has got huge scope .

Now concidering hes only a baby, he will get abit of a breather over winter, possibly doing a few little training shows, and possibly registering him in when hes 6/7

Anyways as he isnt 12.2hh ( hes approx 12hh ) ... Does this stop him from being measured in ? Obviously if he was 12.3/13hh he would most definitely not be allowed .

Anyone shed any light on measuring ponies in ?

Once he's under 128cm he can do 128cm classes, if he's over 128cm he'll have to do 138cm classes. They like to have them as close to 128cm as possible as the bigger ponies would have a slight advantage over the smaller ones, but as long as he can jump I wouldn't see that as a problem. Also if he's 123cm you also have to option to show him he can also do IPS lead rein, first ridden, cradle stakes and 123cm show hunter.

yea he will still have to be measured...and will need done every year until he's 8 at which point he can get a life height certificate!! i would go ahead and register him cause he could jump away at newcomers and small classes...also there arfe some great classes for /5 yr old ponies eg pony discovery at millstreet horse show!!

Thanks folks ..... Well he can definetly jump ... sometimes too well lol , Just need to get the rider coming up now .

He has done lead rein , first ridden .... But his jump is just too good to waste .
