Does anybody know someone that could look over a 4x4 for me? Not having much luck with the AA at the moment (and its very expensive!). Doesn't have to be a mechanic could just be someone that knows a bit about cars - enough to tell me its not about to fall apart!

My OH does almost all the work on our 4x4s, but on the odd occasion he needs something done by someone else, or for MOTs, he goes to Best Autos in Winnall - particularly a mechanic called Lee. Lee is a 4x4 enthusiast, and really knows what he's on about. He offroads, etc. And their prices must be sensible, as my OH take our trucks there, and my OH is as tight as a ducks backside! ;)
 
look on checkatrade.co.uk will give you a good idea whether they're any good or not

My brother's garage is on there and he's found it to be a brilliant webiste (he's in Bognor though, not that close. I take mine over, but then I'd be silly not to! ;) )
