just got a reply from Shardeloes and their prices are -

'The prices for lessons are as follows;

Private 50 min £52.50
Private 30 min £34.50

We also have a special offer where any number of people can share an hour on Merlin for £50.00.'

They don't look too bad to me.

How funny - my daughter had a session today, just north of the Ashdown Forest, I think it was www.michellecogger.com. I think she also has one at Stansted. It was a session organised for a group and was £30 each.

The Michelle Cogger place is near me, I don't know anything about it but you can come and stay...... and do Jaspers teeth while you are passing - he misses you! ;)

Sorry I'm too far away from you to recommend a particular one but can certainly recommend them in principle. I had a course of lessons on one locally when I was rehabbing after a broken ankle and again after a nasty fall on the road, it was excellent but then it was with a very good freelance RI (who owned the horse at the time). I paid £20 per 1/2 hour earlier this year, and got the sixth session free.

I cant help you out with one bnear you Im afraid! Try the Racewood website: http://racewood.com/testimonials.php - this page has all the locations of the simulators.

I loved my lesson I had in Lincolnshire, theres a thread here with videos.

I would recommend the Racewood ones though, they actually have a pivoting head which really helped me think about how my every movement could affect how the horse goes, (it had a lovely long mane too :D)

Have fun! x
