I asked my vet what supplement he would recommend for my horses arthritis (bone spavins). I've had them injected in the past and not entirely sure they made that much difference, but with the onset of the cooler weather, he seems a little stiffer than normal behind which is resulting in him not stepping out as usual in the front. Rather than pop to the feed shop for any old supplements I thought I'd see what the vet recommended and he advised Medical Grade Glucosamine. Unfortunately, he left a voicemail on my phone and I couldn't get clarification on what he meant, but does anyone know where I would buy this, in what format (tablets/powder/liquid?) and how much I administer? I will also be giving him Cartrophen injections which have helped. Any advice welcome.
