'Medium' Trot and Canter vs 'Working'

What will the judge be looking for?
I'm doing my first Novice test on Saturday, which incorporates elements of both.
As I understand it, 'Medium' is showing more impulsion, but am I also aiming for a bit more extension from 'Working', or just more 'up and forward' ??

you are looking to extend the pace without losing the rhythm if that makes sense? is yes more up and forward and covering more ground but not as much as extended trot/canter.
