Medium Walk

Hi! Anyone got any tips or advice on improving my horses medium walk, especially after free walk in tests. As I take up the reins he either jogs or stands still with his head in the air. I want to work on this at home but need a few tips.

Try using your legs separately ie. left leg then right leg as the horse lifts the equivalent hind leg.
If he is jogging it might be because your taking the rein back too quickly try doing it slower with your leg on, but without too much pressure.
