Please can I have your recommendations for medium-weight combo to fit a medium build 14.2 Sect D. Only got about £60 to spend :) Thank you x

I like the Shires Tempest combo. Loveson are also worth a look, I have their combo turnout in every weight, they are excellent but the Shires has a slight edge on quality

Jumpers horse line from old dairy saddlery, especially when on special offer, they are brilliant, wouldn't use anything else as a combo rug, loved the fact that the neck cover stays by their ears when grazing and found them v generous in size even in depths of winter still a brilliant fit with others underneath. They are the exact same design as Mark Todd ones just cheaper but just as good.

Axiom (eBay) but they only have 300gram fill. Very large tail flap, covers the bum nicely! I love this brand, very hard wearing and good value.

Amigo Mio. I bought a med combo for a highland who had colicked and needed to be kept warm in v cold weather. I bought the cheapest rug I could find as I never rug her. It's been used on others and is great. It has rained here non stop today and one of mine was in an Amigo Mio rainsheet day and night and was completely dry. I am so impressed with them as a cheap option that stays waterproof in torrential rain and is a good shape.

Thank you every body although still can't make a final decision :o trouble is they all sound good and prices are similar although found a Shires at £49.99 180g plus free P&P but was thinking about a Weatherbeeta because I know that's a good fit for just over £60. Love the look of the Jumpers but think 250g medium weight might be too warm and HZone always get good reviews oh decisions decisions!

I have a Shires Tempest that has lasted well and is a nice deep fit and very waterproof. There may be some good Weatherbeetas in sales (prev years designs) if you hunt around, I have two and again fit well and have worn well.

have just for the first time bought a derby house own brand medium weight in sale for £45.

seriously doubt the flimsy gold coloured (so not rustproof stainless steel) front fastening clips are going to last the winter out and the only colour way they did is black and white checks (white, for a muddy winter turnout rug??, this is going to be attractive..)

we will see how long it lasts but on first looks i wouldnt recommend Derby house own brand rugs
