Well as some of you who lurk in the vet forum will be aware Jesper retired this Feb after a long battle with soft tissue damage. After much debate I decided he was impossible to 'replace' as a ridden horse and so went searching for a youngster. We were luckily enough to find the little guy below. He's called Chapulin (meaning grasshopper), he's nine months old and was gelded a few days before these pics. Whilst he's officially ours he's not joining us for another few weeks as he'll be living with my retired mare. He's TBxQuarter Horse. So meet our new addition:

He is lovely. I like the look in his eyes, kind, but cheeky at the same time.

He looks like he could be big when fully grown.
 
Thanks guys, we actually went intending to look at his brother (in the background of the first pic) but fell in love with this fella. He's an absolute sweetie - he follows you round the field, loves scratches and is wonderfully behaved, a real credit to his breeder.
He's supposed to make 16hh1 but as long as he doesn't get bigger than Jesper (16hh3) I don't mind although slightly smaller would be ideal.
