So early last week I saw an advert on Facebook for a Welsh Section D mare, 10 years old, not really done anything... I have had Pippi PopSocks on loan from the lovely JM07 since Titchy sold back in June, and she came with us both knowing her 'job' was to keep Genie company until I found a new ridden horse. I went to view this mare in Wales on Friday, and yesterday she came home. It's been quite quick but I am rather in love.

Please meet Cathael Fanfare, by Cathael Idris (by Tireinon Triple Crown) out of Pantyfid Flame (by Trevallion Prince Comet). She's a nice old fashioned stamp that I haven't seen for a while, and has a pretty sensible head on her! I'm looking forwards to getting her out doing a bit of everything once she is fit.

About 10 minutes after getting home...

I am rather in love already...

Beautiful . I've got 2 chestnut section d both of whom are of the old stamp. One is a 10 year old ex broodmare who has recently been broken to ride and is a dream. Good luck and have fun.

She is lovely. I met her sire (And possibly her dam) when I went looking for a nice old fashioned larger version of my little D. Lovely horses and very nice people. I hope you have loads of fun with her.

Oh I LOVE her! Proper D :)

Isn't she! I personally do not like the fine and sporty D's at all and Fanfare makes Genie look fine!

Thank you!!! :D

They are LOVELY at the Cathael Stud aren't they! So friendly and hospitable! Yesterday we were there for over 3 hours when we went to pick her up.

What a chunk! Lovely mare!

Thank you!

She is Gorgeous :)

Thanks! I like her a lot!

She is gorgeous, the sort I dreamed of in my youth. I did eventually get a bay with four whites, too small to ride but a brilliant driver. Hope you really enjoy her.

Thank you!

She's gorgeous. Just the sort I could do with. If only. :-)

If ever you're down my way... ;)

Beautiful! Look forwards to seeing future ridden piccies and updates

I will make sure there are some! She did her first short schooling session tonight, jumps in the corners of the arena were terrifying at first, but she soon realised they weren't so bad!

Stunning, it's so nice to see a traditional Welsh Cob. I may have to steal her :D
I expect lots of photo updates :P

I promise there will be updates! She reminds me a lot of a proper 'old style' Welsh Cob I knew when I was a child, a real old stamp.

She is the spit of my lad so is therefore GORGEOUS!

:D

Well you already know how much I like her :p

I thought you hated her Jo.... ;)

Wow! Stunning! She's a lovely chunky welsh lady :)

She is quite lovely, of course I'm not biased at all!!!

Everyone likes a fat, ginger Fanny :p

Speak for yourself Im! I refuse to shorten her name to Fanny, she's Fanfare until she earns her nickname. ;)
