Meet the new addition to my herd Thelwell, he's a very ancient shetland

I have now officially adopted him at Hope Pastures Sanctuary. Amy who rides one of my ponies also works there. I fell in love with him when I visited so she adopted him for my birthday. What a lovely present.

Oh he reminds me sooo much of my little Mickey who was about 40 when he went over the rainbow bridge this spring. I love shetlands

I've just been told that his favourite is grated apples.

Looks like I could be busy on Saturday.

Anyone know who makes the nicest Shetland rugs, I might need to buy him a nice new warm one for winter.

We have two mini shetlands, they are both fab. Have loaned them out a couple of times (they were rescues and don't really fit into our breeding programme!) but they always came back in a state. Would now find it difficult to trust anyone with them, shame.
