So we have a new little yard friend!
YO’s nephews partner works in a vets and this little cat arrived as a pregnant stray. She had her kittens which were all rehomed but no-one wanted this little lady, so she’s come to live as a farm cat with us.
They called her Lily (Savage- given her tendency to swipe with claws out at the vets) though I’ve found her to be the sweetest thing. She follows me round and has coffee with me on the patio.
She’s been spayed now. I can only think she has been a pet at some point as she is so friendly and sweet, but apparently she had no chip and attempts to find an owner failed.

I am utterly obsessed with cats so I’m in my element!

My parents ended up with a stray that had no chip etc. And he is honestly the most affectionate cat I've ever met to a fault! He gets so over excited he drools all 9ver you. Well done on your lovely rescue. I'm going to be trying to find one soon.

I'm so glad she found a lovely new home! ❤️ Lucky cat

How lovely!! I am cat-obsessed too and my phenomenal tabby was an unchipped stray who adopted us/me. I spent four months at my first yard coaxing the feral cat to come to me, and had her sleeping on my lap by the end. So nice when they accept you.

Ahh she is just lovely! I used to have a little black fluffy ex-stray. The friendliest, most affectionate animal I've ever met, miss him every day.
So nice to see rescue cats end up in wonderful homes.

She has well and truly made herself at home and has ‘adopted me’ as her designated human. She’s waiting by my stable every morning and evening, though I think she knows it means it’s food time!

She played by the manège while I rode yesterday and then had a coffee with me.. or at least kept me company.
This morning she helped me muck out by balancing on my wheelbarrow. 170CFB47-6745-43EE-831A-3D6B8BFC1EB9.jpeg

Oh loooooook! She's absolutely lovely, and sounds as though she will have a great life with you. I love cats who travel around in the wheelbarrow, we used to have one at our yard who did that. How exciting for you to have a new yard furry-face :D

I hope that your new yard cat is continuing to settle in well.

My black yard cat (except that she isn't officially mine, though we do now know who she technically belongs to) made us laugh today. The chiro vet was here this morning for routine check ups on the neds. Black cat solemnly supervised the trot ups and then moved with us to the arena to check on how the lunging went. She was taking note of everything that went on :D.

She enjoys a coffee with me every evening and is very much at home here. She’s so friendly :)

Nice cat. And you are very good people, since you gave shelter to a poor homeless woman and sterilized her. Still, cats that constantly give birth are often extremely emaciated and do not live long. And so the cat now has a quiet life.
