We have yet another horse (that makes seven!). This is Chebsey Jaffacake, aka Jaffa.
He's been here 10 days, and has already settled in. He's a chestnut/ strawberry roan, 12 yr old, 14hh, Connemara x Cob (we think), gelding, imported from Ireland as a 4 year old. I've known him for around 3 years, as his previous owner is a very good friend of mine. He loves jumping & hunting, as well as XC. He's very scopey and will jump anything you point him at. He'd hunt & go SJing with Sunny (his 'twin'), so they're good friends, and are glad to be together again.
He loves it here as he's the only gelding, and him & Sunny are best friends!
A photo from a hound exercise last year. (Sunny's on the left, and Jaffa's on the right with his owner (at the time).
The two 'twins' together again, earlier this year in February.
A few days after he arrived.
Jumping 1.15m here in our field with his previous owner when they came for a sleep-over in the summer holidays (photo from July 2014).
Here in his new field the other day.
Me jumping 1.10m on him, on Sunday.
Sorry for the photo overload!
If anyone thinks they know what breed he is please feel free to say, he's unregistered and it says he's an Irish Sports Pony in his passport, however I think he's too heavy to be one, and may be a Connemara cross (possibly with some cob in him, as he does grow quite a lot of feather).
