My two newest additions to the family!! :D (Yes I know they're not dogs!) Pasty is the blonde one and Eddie is the brunette... ;) :D

They are Dumbo Rats, so have big round ears that sit lower than normal ratty ears!
I'm so excited, I've wanted a pet rat for years! :D :D

Otto thinks they are VERY exciting, their cage is up high so he is sitting on the back of the sofa so he can stare up at them! Unfortunately for him, they are more interested in sleeping than entertaining him! :D

My sitting room felt very empty without the scrabble of little claws, now I get little squeaks as they play with one another too :D :D

Will get lots of pictures once they are settled! Having to fight the temptation to get them out and play so hard! :D :D :D

The black one, Eddie, is so hyper-active! Already been all around the cage, over the rope bridge, up and down the sides, on top of the tunnel... But she is also the nervy one! Patsy is far more interested in me, but way lazier! :D

Errr, I have a hideous confession to make.... :o

***whispers - they came from PAH*** :o :o :o

Digger the gerbil was a PAH impulse buy when I was at Uni, I missed having animals in the house, so we got him! So tonight we went in to see if they had two Gerbils (as I always hated that Digger ended up on his own!), but they only had single ones. But they had two Dumbo Rats...

How fab! Hope you have lots of fun with them! I love pet rats, I think they are highly under-rated as pets :D Mine used to sleep in the hoods of various hoodies etc, used to freak the neighbours out when I went for a walk :o :D

They are lovely! I used to have two females who used to chew everything so just mind when you get them out! :D Have now got three guniea pigs who just arent as agile or interesting to watch as the rats! Just out of interest what bedding are you using? :)
