Meet - WELLIE the Shire

I hope to be collecting him on Sunday the 30th May and I am really looking forward to it. I have missed not having a Heavy since I lost my old Clydesdale mare Rosie a few years back.
Wellie spent a season with Annie of Cumbria Heavy Horses when she was still in Skye and he has matured since then.
Hopefully we will get him between the shafts too.

We should also be getting at least one Clydesdale too so watch this space and if you want a shot in a Gentle Giant you know where to come !!

He is gorgeous! I know exactly what you mean about missing the heavies, they are different from other horses.
Kitsune, I really don't think you need to worry about the tree, IME heavy horses will take any opportunity offered to have a rest, would not dream of walking off while having their feet done, as they consider this to be 'work' and are generally well-mannered. I expect if there had been a problem, the farrier would have grabbed the rope.
