Please note the date of the above meeting will now take place on:
Wed 11th October at 7.30 pm at

The Annual Meeting will be followed at 8pm by a talk from:

Mark Weston BHS National Director of Access, Safety and Welfare.

He will talk about the departments work and in particular about recent and emerging changes on Bridleways and Multi User Paths.

This in turn will be followed by an Open Forum on –

1. Training, Welfare and Road Safety Events
Meet the team and indicate what you feel is required in the county.
Some ideas already given to the BHS committee on training include:

Trailer driving.
Choosing a Horse Box
Road Safety Tests for Adults
How to deal with Ragwort
TREC Training.
Local Instructors Forum.

2. Access.
Your BHS county and local access officers will be available along with a team from the Hertfordshire County Council Rights of Way group who will have copies of the latest and current definitive map for the county showing all recorded bridleways.
Come along and discuss your bridleways issues and requirements and help register and record where you ride or have ridden – particularly important for you if this turns out not to be recorded on the definitive map.
Print outs are available for most areas showing Rights of Way.

BHS members plus all interested horse owners/riders welcome.

Entrance free – free parking – tea and coffee available in the interval.
