Mega Grand Flex - is this the best currently?

Has anyone used the above product over a long period of time and if so has it had a good effect? Apparently this product is designed to help cartilage regenerate (if there is much left) but results will take at least 3 months. I'm also using High Strength American Buteless which I am assuming is to help with pain and stiffness, if this is the case is there anything better on the market. There are so many products and at the moment I am just not sure which is best as all companies seem to promote their own product as the best - obviously. Just looking for some advice. My mare has had tendon probs in the past and has arthritis in her joints too so want to find the best products for her. Does anyone also use green lipped mussel extract and if so what's the best one for horses.

My vet has recently recommended Cosequin to me as the only one he believes has sufficient scientific research to back up its claims. I haven't tried it yet, my mare has been on Cortaflex for years, but am going to try Cosequin as can claim the first few pots under insurance.
