Long time no see (post) lol
So much has happened since i last posted, 2 years if we're exact!
Firstly i want to start by saying that sadly last December Jester was pts following complications with a tooth extraction which in turn uncovered he was suffering from liver disease. Most definitely the hardest decision I've ever had to make but you just know when its time to say goodbye
In the year since i last posted Jester and I moved up to novice level dressage and were schooling elementary at home, we qualified for the Scottish Veteran Dressage champs (sadly he was pts before we could attend), we won our local ODE, were jumping 90 SJ courses and schooling over 1.10 at home and all round he was my best friend. The past 5 years have been amazing and he was everything i had hoped for in my first horse.

Now for the biggest news, after losing jester in december last year, even though i was still hurting from him being pts, i knew if i didnt get back on a horse i probably never would. Over new year i was riding a close friends ex racer who has competed top level showing and had all the jump in the world. Originally we were supposed to buy him but it was then decided he was no longer in the market and so began our search for another horse.
Thats when Torin arrived! He is an 8 yo skewbald ISH gelding by Ballysax Shakespeare out of Allenwood Gold, he was bought measuring at 16.1hh but was rather undernourished and now with all the tlc he has sprouted to 17hh and is the biggest sweetheart of a giant ever. Very very green although has been schooled exceptionally well at some point and has the most wonderful paces and jump. The only issue we are facing at the moment is he worries at shows and tenses against the hand and does the most beautiful giraffe impression
Our first season has been mostly successful, we've competed at dressage, showjumping and showing. We also done our very first arena event

cookies to you all if you made it through that, i promise i'll try to keep going with updates as i think torin has a very bright future ahead of him
