A friend gave me a few bags of megazorb to try.
I looked at the Web site and see its advertised as triple dust extracted. She had them stored in her shed since last year after losing a horse. The shed was dusty and bags a little damaged.
I'm finding it really quite dusty although weirdly it appears not to be effecting my horse who gets awful allergy symptoms and the first hint of dust normally.
I'm finding the water bucket has a film and his rugs/stable ledges are obviously dusty.
I have been told it can get a bit dusty in summer but this is literally as I empty the bag.
On the other hand I really like it! It's so easy and light to use.
Not sure if I take the risk and buy a load (have to order it) and hope the dust is down to the bags being damaged or just find something else again!

I love megazorb normally, however, the last pallet of 60 I had delivered has changed dramatically. The bags were much heavier. At first I thought they had taken on water, but not so. The megazorb is much finer and MUCH dustier than normal. It's so bad that I have to hold my breath whilst spreading it and then run outside to breathe. It is one of my liveries who buys the megazorb for her two horses because she doesn't like the wood pellets that I prefer to use. The horses seem fine, but I really hate the fact that the air is full of fibres and it does make me cough if I'm not careful to hold my breath whilst first spreading it. So my advice to you would be to ask the supplier to send you a sample before ordering it in bulk. It may just have been a bad batch I had (I've used it for 10 years and not had a problem before).

After those two replies I don't think I'll bother tbh. Yes I like it's muck - out - ability but as above I'm spreading and running! I can't get my head round why the horse seems not bothered by it?!
I'm asthmatic so dust is an important factor to me.
Thanks both :)

I use megazorb on a yard of 30+ i collect it direct from northern crop and never had a problem. It can be a little dusty if you put a few bags down in one go but we always find as soon as that bit has settled the bed is never dusty again. After trying what seems to be every bedding on the market i would not take the yard off mz for nothing. We do sometimes mix mz with easibed to bulk the bed up a bit on dirty horses so maybe that could be worth a try if you have a bad batch but i would call northern crop driers and ask they are fab x
