megazorb help ?!?!

hello, im getting my rubber mats tomorrowD) and have decided i will stay on straw with another bed underneath, i went to my local (extremly rude and un-helpful ) tack shop today and bought a bag of megazorb, however im not really sure how to use it ! i just want to put a small amount in the area my horse wees ( he is quite tidy ) to absorb the wee and will remove everyday, do i need to wet it at all before hand ? its very strange looking stuff ?!?!

No, no need to wet it, I'd just put a layer a couple of inches thick under the straw where he wees. It is strange looking isn't it? I'm sure you'll love it when you get used to it, it is the most absorbent bedding I have ever used, by a long way.

its quite easy to use really, we've got it at the moment (until the pellets arrive). Ron isn't covnicned by it, and after trying to eat it he spent 10 minutes licking the wall to get rid of it!! daft horse!

Dont take it out each day. If you leave it for a week or two (yes honestly) it forms itself into a soft mat and remains absorbant for ages. Once you hear it squelch take it out and start again.

If you put fresh in each day it will stay too dry and will break apart and scatter everywhere. It doesnt really work unless you semi deep litter it.

I loved Megazorb when I was using it and would go back to it in a flash if my agri merchant was reliable in supplying it.
