Lost a bit of weight recently (well a dress size) just trying on my jacket for sunday and its way to big and baggy - perfect in the arm length but just looks baggy and not fitted :( meh
So i have another tweed which is actually a better color and a beautiful fit - only problem is the sleeves look too short?! When i have bended elbows there is a 2" gap from where they should be (wrists) do you think i would get away with a long sleeve dark top to tuck in my gloves so there is no shirt cuffs showing? olr stick with the baggy but fits-in-the-arms brown tweed?!
Its a local show :)

Well-fitting is better. IMO cuffs should always show slightly beyond jacket sleeves (in real-life if not riding anyway!). Well-done on the slimming :-)

If you look carefully at how its made, you'll see the fabric turns in and folds down inside before it meets the lining. If you're clever/know a dress maker, and the original edge of the cuff isn't too 'worn in' you can add a bit of lining and fold another inch of cuff out, thereby lengthening the sleeves.

Can you get one altered before then? I'm v tall & thin & can never get stuff to fit, its not expensive to get stuff adjusted. If not, I'd go for the too short sleeves one.

I would wear the well fitting one with shorter sleeves and make sure there is no skin showing whether that be with shirt cuffs showing or gloves.

I never seem to be able to find jackets with long enough sleeves that fit me well, it's a nightmare!!!
