Memorial Diamonds

Has anyone ever used the ashes of a pet or horse to have a diamond made up?

I am reading up on this process as at this point in time I am unsure whether I will put my pony through another winter. I have owned her for 22 of her 26 years and want to do what is best for her when the time comes.

On looking it up it is more expensive than I realised, however it is something that I would like to do.

My friend has her dead husband in a ring her finger - not my cup of tea I have to say. I thought it was a bit tacky, however the hypocrite in me would love to wear my cats or horse in some jewellery as a reminder!

I know what you mean Hedgewitch, the idea of doing it with human ashes gives me the creeps a little. I'm not even sure I'd ever do it again with my other horse. It's just that I got my little girl for my 4th birthday - my earliest memory is the first time I sat on her - so as far as I am concerned she has been with me for my whole life so far. And after she is gone I would still like her to be.
