Hi all,

I had my beloved horse Crosby put to sleep this week. I am truly heartbroken and miss him terribly. I’m sure many of you have experienced this and know how it feels.

I’d like some kind of memorial of him as I've kept his tail hair, some of his mane and his shoes. I’m looking for something contemporary and not tacky. I’ve seen horse hair jewellery on various websites, but nothing else. Is there anywhere or anything you could recommend as I’m not sure where to start or what to look for?

Thank you so much x

We just planted a beautiful apple tree in our front garden for our mare we lost 2 years ago .
Could get a lovely portrait done of your horse aswell.
Really sorry to hear of your loss it's heartbreaking losing one of them

I am so sorry about this, I know how heartbreaking it is. We planted a silver birch tree as a memorial to my beautiful grey boy. The hurt does get easier in time.

Having just lost my mare recently I also wanted something to remember her by? As we had her cremated we had this done:

I' m sure someone in the UK must also do this as well.

I have a standing order to an equine charity in memory of a horse I loved.

It is sadly very 'contemporary' in the current market.

Shoes can be polished up with baking soda to be VERY clean shiny silver - we used some from our horses at our wedding. Thinking of converting them into pot stands at some point.
